Atriplex canescens
A dense evergreen shrub which grows to a height of 3-6 feet and a spread of 4 to 8 feet. Native throughout much of the arid west. Grows well in valley bottoms, plains, deserts, and mountainous areas. Does well in a wide variety of soil types including alkaline. It is a valuable wildlife and livestock forage shrub.
