Linum lewisii A perennial plant with small five-petaled blue flowers (3/4" to 1" diameter) on mostly unbranched stems. The species is found from foothills to upper montane sites. Leaves are blue-green and needle-like. This species reaches 12 to 18 inches in height and grows in rocky or sandy soils in full sun with little water. The plant readily reseeds itself. This plant is suggested as a perennial for fire-tolerant plantings.
